The Future of Low-Emission Railway in the Czech Republic

On 28 of February, a round table on "Future perspectives of low-emission rail" took place in Pilsen at the RICE Research and Innovation Centre for Electrical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia. The round table was organized by the Central European Institute for Transport Development (SIRDO) and under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of West Bohemia.

Experts from the whole railway sector, the Czech Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of Industry and Trade participated in the discussion, moderated by Miroslav Haltuf (who also had his own presentation). At the beginning, the guest of honor, the Swedish Ambassador to the Czech Republic, presented the priorities of the Swedish Presidency of the EU Council in the field of transport.

The successful event ended in the afternoon and it was clear that the participants left Pilsen very satisfied.
