11th UIC World Congress on High-Speed Rail

The 11th UIC World Congress on High Speed Rail took place in Marrakesh from 7 to 10 March, 2023.

Politicians and experts from all over the world met to discuss high-speed rail from all possible points of view. In one place, participants could compare different technical infrastructure solutions, gain an overview of developments in HSR rolling stock, safety, comfort on board and socio-economic and environmental impacts of HSR in different parts of the world. In comparison with the world, the Czech Republic presented itself significantly with a total of 3 presentations in the specialised sessions.

Apart from the technical topics, it could not be forgotten that transport connects continents, countries and, at the very end, people. In a few days there was a great opportunity not only to learn about HSR on all continents, in many countries, but also to meet and to discuss face to face with people who are building HSR system and are changing the view at HSR travelling we all like so much. You can also see the very successful event in some photos and a video from Mr Haltuf’s presentation.
